I wanted to keep the design simple, allowing the image, inspired by retro textile design, to pop. Leaving negative space on the can makes the information that is there stand out. Immediately, the consumer knows what they're drinking, whether they've read the name or not.

 

Moreover, by fully embracing RGC's retro personality, the design evokes fond, nostalgic memories. Thus, the whole interaction, from laying eyes on the can to cracking it open, is an enjoyable experience between brand and consumer.
